Sportsbook Poker has announced the coming of Poker Maximus 7, scheduled to start this Thursday, November 21 and run through Sunday, December 1, 2013, featuring 56 events in that time, all with buy-ins of less than $22.
The Sportsbook Poker Maximus 7 also features more than $225,000 in guaranteed prize pools total, with at least 4 events scheduled to run each day. Buy-ins start as low as $0.25 and players can use cash or VIP points to buy-in. There are satellites running around the clock for all the events, and players can even freeroll their way into several of those events’ satellites.
During the week, Poker Maximus 7 events take place at 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, and 21:00 each night. On the weekends, events take place every hour on the hour between (and including) 15:00 and 21:00.
All events on the Poker Maximus 7 schedule are in No Limit Texas Hold’em. There are 5 main events total, all on December 1, each for a different buy-in level. There’s a $0.25 main event with a $2,500 GTD prize pool, a $1.10 main event with a $4,000 GTD prize pool, a $3.30 main event with a $4,000 GTD prize pool as well, an $11 main event with a $15,000 GTD prize pool, and a $22 main event with a $7,500 GTD prize pool (yes, you read that right.)

The next Sportsbook.ag Turbo Online Poker Series (Turbo OPS) is coming up this Thursday through Sunday, July 25 to 28. Made up of 18 events, all turbo tournaments, the series features a guaranteed prize pool of more than $160,000.
The action starts on July 25th at 18:00 with a $5,000 GTD with 1 rebuy for a $1 + $0.10 direct buy-in. From there direct buy-ins range up to $100 + $9 for both the $25,000 GTD and $10,000 GTD 6-max turbo No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha main events, on Sunday, July 28 at 16:00 and 16:00, respectively. There’s one other Po Limit Omaha event on the schedule, taking place Friday, July 26 at 19:00, this one a 6-max hyper-turbo for a direct buy-in of $5.24 + $0.26. The rest of the events on the Turbo OPS schedule are in No Limit Hold’em.
Many of the events are 6-max games and some have rebuys. There’s also one heads-up event, on Saturday, July 27 at 16:30 for a $5,000 prize pool, with a $30 + $3 buy-in. The lowest prize pool on the schedule, in fact, is $5,000 guaranteed.
And Sportsbook.ag is now hosting lower cost satellite tournaments throughout the day every day until and throughout the series, awarding seats in its various events.

Just when things were starting to settle a bit we have more online poker sites choosing to leave the US Market.
We just learned this information out and wanted to share it with all of you ASAP. Both Sportsbook.com and PlayersOnly.com are going to cease accepting U.S. players and traffic as of May 1st, 2011.

Sportsbook Poker announces a new tournament player competition for August. The Tourney King promotion will feature leaderboards for Multi Table Tournament players. In a unique twist, there will be two leaderboards. One for buyins of $20 or more and one for lower buyins. The top 50 on both boards get cash and ticket prizes. Also the top 250 in both leaderboards will win entry to a $20,000 tournament. Details are not widely available but I think you get more chips in that tournament for placing higher on the leaderboards.

I believe more than one Merge Network site is doing this promotion, but I do not think all of them are. I know Carbon Poker is doing it but Feltstars does not appear to be.
