Earn Elite Benefits at America’s Cardroom

Last Updated on

America’s Cardroom has taken the patriotic theme one step further, describing its loyalty program in military terms and enlisting players to train for Elite Benefits. As with any poker site’s rewards program, America’s Cardroom’s Elite Benefits are all based on earning points for your play at the site.

There are two types of points you can earn in this program. You earn Combat Points (CP) each time you participate in a cash ring game or online tournament with real money at the America’s Cardroom site. You earn Rank Points (RP) each time you pay a tourney fee or pay a rake in ring games. CP are used to activate bonuses, release special rewards and make purchases in the AC online store. RP are used to determine your rank in the AC rewards program. You start out as a Lieutenant as of your first cash game or tourney.

Obviously the higher your rank, from Captain to Major to Colonel to General, the more benefits you receive, including an ever-increasing CP multiplier.

All players at any level have access to Medals of Achievement and Site Freerolls. Captains also get $50 cash for use in the store. Majors get $300 cash in the store. Colonels get $600 and Generals get $1,500 and $4,000. Each rank also has a different level of store access, with correspondingly increasing benefits.

You also need to maintain a certain minimum level of monthly RPs to maintain the rank you’ve attained. The exception to that are Generals who must only maintain a yearly minimum RP level to keep their rank.

Americas Cardroom to hold 250k GTD on Black Friday Anniversary

Last Updated on

As the online poker world gets ready to solemnly remember Black Friday, Americas Cardroom is giving everyone a major reason to celebrate. On April 15th, the US-friendly online poker site will introduce the Liberty Quarter Million, a No-Limit Hold’em online poker tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000. The first place prize is guaranteed at least $50,000.

“April 15th will go down in history as a day that we’ll never forget, but this time it’ll be because of something incredible,” stated Michael Harris, an America’s Cardroom spokesman. “We’ve been growing our online poker community over the last year by leaps and bounds, and we’re excited to celebrate poker freedom with all our players by putting $500,000 on the table over five weekends.”

The Liberty Quarter Million tournament is part of Liberty Weekends, where $500,000 will be spread out over two big online poker tournaments every weekend between March 31st and April 29th. The Sunday tournaments are Re-Entry tournaments with a 3 hours late registration. That means if a player is eliminated from the tournament while registration is still open, they’ll have the option to buy back in as a new player.

On Saturdays at 7:00pm ET, Americas Cardroom hosts a $10,000 GTD with a $50+5 buy-in. On Sundays at 6:00pm ET, the guarantee hits $50,000 and costs just $200+15 to get into. Both weekend tournaments offer players 10,000 in starting chips.

For those players looking to satellite their way in, on April 13th at 8:00pm ET Americas Cardroom will be hosting a 250 Seat Super Satellite with 250 seats guaranteed for the April 15th Quarter Million Tournament. The 250 Seat Super Satellite will cost only $36+3 to get into.

The $50,000 and $250,000 GTD tournaments offer a familiar blind structure and buy-in to US players who were victimized by Black Friday’s events, a signal that Americas Cardroom means business about becoming the #1 destination for online poker in the US.

Liberty Weekends kicks off on Saturday, March 31st, 2012. Full details on Americas Cardroom’s satellite structure for all 10 Liberty Weekends tournaments can be found at AmericasCardroom.

America’s Cardroom Points Race Upped to $85k in March

Last Updated on

Recently America’s Cardroom began to offer weekly and monthly points races with large guaranteed prize pools and numerous opportunities for players at all different levels to win. This month it’s no different, except the prize pool just got bigger.

For this March’s points race, America’s Cardroom has increased the prize pool to $85k. That amount will be given out through a month-long race with a $60k prize pool and five weekly races each with a $5k prize pool.

The $25k Sprints take place every weekend this month, from Friday through Sunday. At each 3-day long sprint, first place takes home $1,000; second place gets $500; third gets $350; fourth $250; and fifth $200, paying out the top 75 players each weekend a cash reward of at least $29.

The schedule of $5k Sprints is as follows:
• March 2 – 4
• March 9 – 11
• March 16 – 18
• March 23 to 25
• March 30 to April 1

In these sprints, only points players earn at cash ring games count. Tournament points are not eligible for this event. But they are for the $60k Marathon.

The $60k Marathon awards $8k to first place, $4k to second, $2.5k to third, $2.25k to fourth and $2k to fifth, paying out to the top 275 players a sum of at least $25.

Tournament players can earn extra points in the contest by registering for certain big money and live satellite tournaments taking place now at the site, including all of America’s Cardroom’s guaranteed tournaments and the satellite for the LSOP Peru.

America’s Cardroom Now Holding LSOP Super Satellites

Last Updated on

On June 5-10, 2012, Lima, Peru will play host to the next Latin Series of Poker Main Event. It takes place at the Peruvian capital Casino Atlantic City and costs $1,500 + $150 to buy-in. Players can avoid that buy-in, however, by winning one of 13 $3,500 prize packages up for grabs at America’s Cardroom right now.

America’s Cardroom is holding LSOP Super Satellites daily throughout the month of February, with two satellite qualifier series’: one into a $50 + $5 Super Satellite and one into a $125 + $12 Super Satellite. Qualifier buy-ins are as low as $7 + $0.70. And there are even $6 + $0.60 Super Satellites taking place now and again. Different satellite qualifiers offer 1, 2 or even 5 seats in a Super Satellite, while all Super Satellite promise 1 LSOP Peru prize package a piece.

America’s Cardroom’s LSOP Peru prize packages include not only the buy-in into the main event but as much as $800 in air travel costs round trip, hotel accommodations in Lima for 5 nights and transportation to and from the airport and hotel.

In a rare move for an online poker room, America’s Cardroom is allowing prize package winners who are unable or uninterested in attending the LSOP Peru to trade in their prize packages for a discounted cash value of $2,300.

Earlier in the week we also told you about America’s Cardroom’s $40k Sprint, and now it comes into play with the LSOP Super Satellite series as well, because when you play in the LSOP Super Satellites taking place Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in February, you also receive as a bonus just for playing, between 200 and 500 points toward the $40k Sprint leaderboard.

For Round One, America’s Cardroom is holding hourly qualifiers every day. At 8pm nightly is a Main Event Freeroll for 50 Round Two tickets and at 12am nightly is a Midnight Daily Second Chance Freeroll for 25 Round Two tickets. For each of the other 22 hours of the day, the site will host a freeroll on the hour awarding 3 Round Two tickets.

For Round Two, America’s Cardroom is holding weekly qualifiers every Saturday. In addition to the main prize of Round Three tickets to 1 out of every 5 competitors, the site also offers a $750 cash prize pool guaranteed at each. Finish in the final 100 and win a share.

The fourth round is the Grand Finale Freeroll, open to the 500 highest Special Points earners over the entire month-long course of the FSS. It happens on October 13, that’s also a Saturday, and offers a guaranteed prize pool of $25,000 in addition to three Punta Cana prize packages to the first, second and third place finishers.

America’s Cardroom Doubles Guarantees Week & $100k Points Race Running

Last Updated on

Two of the promotions underway for February 2012 at America’s Cardroom are Double Guarantees Week and a $100k Points Race.

For the week lasting from Monday, February 6 through Sunday, February 12, America’s Cardroom will be hosting another Double Guarantees Week. That means every Guaranteed Tournament scheduled this week will have its guaranteed prize pool doubled. That includes dozens of tournaments with guarantees ranging as high as $5k, $7.5k and $15k normally, now doubled to $10k, $15k and $30k, respectively. It includes rebuy and addon events, bounty tournaments, deep stack events, turbo tournaments, freezeouts and more.

While Double Guarantees Week last, obviously, for just one week, America’s Cardroom’s $100k Points Race last the whole month long. For all of February 2012, players can win a share of $100,000 in cash through the combination of a $60k marathon and four weekly $10k sprints.

The $60k Marathon lasts all February long and it tracks players on a leaderboard by points earned, paying out to the top 275 finishers, with the top finisher getting $8k. Additionally, each week America’s Cardroom hosts a $10k Sprint from Friday to Sunday. The site will pay out the top 125 finishers on these weekly leaderboards, with each week’s first place finisher getting $2k.

As with the $60k Marathon this is a points race, but unlike the monthly event, these weekly sprints only count points from Ring Game play. Points earned playing tournaments, whether MTT, satellite or Sit ‘n’ Go, do not count for the $40k Sprint, though they do count for the $60k Marathon.

Americas Cardroom Bad Beat Jackpot is Now Over $500k

Someone at America’s Cardroom is about to laugh all the way to the bank. The Bad Beat Jackpot at Americas Cardroom.eu has surpassed the $500,000 mark and is quickly inching into $600k territory. As of yesterday, Bad Beat Jackpot tables were filling up fast with players vying for the shot at a six-figure payday.

The next player to lose a hand of Texas Hold’em with quad eights or anything better while seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot table will pop the Bad Beat Jackpot, sending hundreds of thousands in cash onto the table where the bad beat occurred.

It’s all part of the ongoing Bad Beat Jackpot game at Americas Cardroom.eu. The online poker site is softening the blow of losing at the poker tables by paying poker players big money when misfortune strikes. At this moment, the loser of the hand is guaranteed a payout over $100,000.

But it’s not just the recipient of the bad beat who walks away a winner. The winner of the hand stands to win 20% of the jackpot, those who participated in the dealt hand will share 10% of the jackpot and 30% is dedicated for reseeding the next jackpot.

The US-friendly online poker site also announced today its largest monthly Points Race yet—a $100,000 test of endurance that includes a $60,000 monthly Points Race and four weekly races using the dealt rake method worth another $40,000, a system that hardcore grinders will love.
