888 Poker has just introduced Teams Poker, a promotion based on European football teams. In 888 Poker’s Teams Poker, players can win money for supporting their favorite teams in some of their biggest matches, including teams in Barclay’s Premier League from England, La Liga from Spain and Bundesliga from Germany.

Throughout the entire football season for each of these leagues, 888 Poker has scheduled an online poker tournament for each of the league’s big matches. These events all have a $0.99 buy-in and a $100 prize pool. When you join any of these tournaments, you’ll be asked to select one of the two teams competing in the actual match corresponding to the event. If your team wins the tournament, you win money however you individually finish in the event. On the first of October and the first of November are also special teams poker fixtures called the Zodiac Wars: Battle of the Star Signs.

888 Poker is also hosting weekly tournaments for each of the three leagues. The weekly Barclay’s Premier League event takes place every Monday at 19:40 GMT; the weekly Bundesliga event takes place every Sunday at 19:40 GMT; and the weekly La Liga Challenges take place every Thursday at 19:40 GMT. These events feature all the teams from each league. They are played just like a normal 888 Poker tournament, except that half the prize pool is split amongst the players in the winning team. That means even players who bust out of the tournament can still wind up in the money.

888 Poker Runs $210K Daily Challenge Series Featuring $10K Monday Twins

With the Daily Challenge Series, 888 Poker invites players of all types of action and all sizes of bankroll to participate in 7 weekly tournaments, one on each day of the week, with a total weekly guaranteed prize pool of $210,000. 888 Poker Introduces A Por Ella Bounty Event

888 Poker has introduced a new event in which players have the chance to take on the Last Woman Standing in the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event, Leo Margets. Hailing from Spain, the 888 Poker pro finished 27th in a field of 6,000 players to claim a $352,000 payday and now you have the chance to claim a $1,000 on her head every Thursday at 888 Poker’s A Por Ella bounty tournament.

Starting every Thursday at 20:00 GMT, A Por Ella costs only $10 + $1 to enter, with a $1,000 bounty on playername “LEO” on the first Thursday of every month and a $250 bounty on the rest of the Thursdays in any given month. The winner of each A Por Ella event and the winner of the bounty on LEO will both win bonus prizes of a free seat in the following week’s A Por Ella event. In addition, for that event 888 Poker will place a $50 bounty on each of those players’ heads, giving the rest of the players something extra to vie for.

Each A Por Ella event is capped at 500 players. If LEO doesn’t show to an event, her bounty will be split among the players at that event’s final table. If the previous week’s tournament or bounty winner doesn’t show to an event, the bonus bounty on their heads will be dissolved entirely.
