But although the site calls these tournaments “On The Hour Freerolls”, hardly any of them actually start literally on the hour. Therefore we’ve taken the liberty of providing you the full schedule of these so-called On The Hour Freerolls below, as it really is a fine opportunity to whet your poker chops and walk away from the table with some real cash in your pocket for doing so.

Zynga Poker Launches Online Real Money Poker Site In UK

Last Updated on

Zynga, the social gaming platform that debut to snowballing success on Facebook, has launched its long-awaited real money online poker client for players in the UK. With the official launch taking place Wednesday, April 3, 2013, Zynga Poker Plus, as the site has been named, offers both an instant, online, browser-compatible, no download version and a downloadable software skin for their acclaimed poker room.

Last October, 2012, Zynga, Inc. partnered with Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment. Now, by launching its new real money online poker site, Zynga Poker Plus, on the Party Gaming Network, Zynga (and its players) will share in the player pools of Party Poker, WPT Poker and bwin, among others, with access to the same player rewards available to players on those other sites.

For anyone familiar with playing at Zynga Poker on Facebook, the look and feel of Zynga Poker Plus will be familiar, down to the sultry red haired, red dressed “spokesmodel” avatar greeting players to the site — the major noticeable difference being — of course — that now they’ll be playing for real money instead of play money.

While the Zynga Poker Plus real money platform is currently only available to players in the UK, Zynga has already submitted its application for Nevada gambling license, where intrastate online real money poker has recently been legalized.

Zynga Poker was Zynga’s second highest grossing game on Facebook, second only to Farmville, generating nearly $217.5 or almost 20% of Zynga’s revenue from online gaming.

In our previous post we introduced Bovada Poker’s Anonymous Poker option which allows players to compete with zero identifying information shown, making for a 100% anonymous poker playing experience and an even playing field for all at the start of each game. We also made mention of the $100K GTD Anonymous Poker Series (APS) taking place at the site now. This is the subject of today’s post.

The Bovada Poker Anonymous Poker Series runs from Monday, March 25 through Monday, October 14, 2013, during which time players at the site’s Anonymous Poker tables can win $6,600 prize pakcages into the Bovada Poker $100,000 Guaranteed APS Live Finale to be held in January of 2014 in Manila, the Philippines.

Each $6,600 APS prize package includes air travel to and from the Philippines and hotel stay for 2 during the event, the $2,000 buy-in into the APS Live Finale, a $700 stipend for expenses and more.

The winner of the APS Live Finale in Manila will walk away from the table with the grand prize of $45,000 guaranteed. Second place gets $25,000, third place gets $15,000, fourth place gets $10,000 and fifth place gets $5,000.

See the Bovada Poker website or poker software for the complete Anonymous Poker Series and APS satellite schedule.

Introducing 100% Anonymous Poker At Bovada Poker

Last Updated on

ap

One of the unique new features that Bovada Poker offers its players is a game option called Anonymous Poker in which players can sit down at a table with absolutely no identifying information (e.g. avatar or player name) and compete against one another without anyone knowing who they are. Of course, if your opponents don’t know who you are, you don’t know who they are either. So the advantages and disadvantages go both ways.
What are those advantages and disadvantages. As Bovada Poker puts it “a level playing field for everyone”. As an anonymous poker player, no one can strategize against you by knowing your poker playing style ahead of time. Playing against other anonymous poker players, however, you are also playing “blind” unable to draw on your knowledge of your fellow Bovada Poker players. The result is that Anonymous Poker makes for an exciting game every time.

One of the other helpful features of Bovada Poker’s Anonymous Poker is the site’s fully downloadable hand histories, which allow you to examine your opponent’s hole cards only 24 hours after the game has been played.

Bovada Poker is currently the only poker network online to offer tables that are 100% anonymous.

And right now, to help entice players to the Anonymous Poker tables, Bovada Poker is holding its first Anonymous Poker Series, with over a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. In our next post we’ll tell you all the details of the Bovada Poker Anonymous Poker Series and its complete schedule of events.

Bovada Poker’s Bad Beat Bonus And Royal Flush Bonus

Last Updated on

badbeat

Bovada Poker has a regal Royal Flush bonus and a Bad Beat Bonus that can’t be beat.

The Bovada Poker Royal Flush bonus is 50x the big blind of the given game, up to a maximum amount of $200. To hit the Royal Flush Bonus you must get a royal flush while playing at a real money Texas Hold’em cash game (tournaments do not apply) with at least 3 players dealt into the hand and both hole cards in your hand used to complete the royal flush. Your royal flush must also be the winning hand (though if it’s not, you’ll likely be eligible for the Bad Beat Bonus, described next.) The hand need not reach the Showdown in order for the Royal Flush Bonus to be hit. Players who believe they have hit the Royal Flush Bonus need to contact Bovada Poker’s support with the table number, hand number and your account information by telephone or emal within 48 hours of hitting it. The Royal Flush Bonus has no rollover requirement.

The Bovada Poker Bad Beat Bonus is 100x the big blind at the table up to a maximum bonus of $1,000 for losing a hand to a 4-of-a-kind while holding a full house, Aces over Kings, or better. Again both hole cards must be used to complete the bad beat hand and at least 3 players must be dealt into the hand for the Bad Beat Bonus to be hit, but this time the winning and losing hands must also both reach the showdown.
